MINECRAFT FORGE 1.12 2 MOD
Minecraft Bedrock is not mod-able, and to mod Minecraft Java Edition the great Minecraft Forge is also needed. In order to experience amazing mods like Ice and Fire and the great variety of choices.įor those that don't know, this only applies to Minecraft Java Edition. Minecraft Bedrock users will find it's well worth buying a new set of Minecraft licenses for Java Edition, There are some excellent Minecraft Java Edition mods such as Serene Seasons and Dynamic Trees which provide motivation to run Minecraft Java Edition 1.12.2. Unfortunately to me, using these versions are note an option since some of the Mods my son is trying to use doesn't work on Forge versions later than 1.12.2, like "Ancient Warfare", "Animania", and "Chisel".
One interesting remark is that actually all Forge versions later than 1.12.2 (like 1.16.1) work regularly on Ubuntu 20.04. I can provide full logs and crash reports, if someone thinks this could help. Tried all the options cited on that article, and the which instructs to put the java option bellow was the one which made me advance a little bit:
